Senior Associate - Financial Services Consulting

We are currently seeking a Senior Associate to join us in our New York City office. IT Advisory Services (ITA) professionals assess, design, and combine leading information management and operational processes, approaches, technologies, and controls to help enable sustained business value and risk management in support of the business. Information Technology (IT) organizations and their leaders often need a business focus that helps enable them to better organize and prioritize their IT investments based on factors including business value created, return on investments, and management of risk. Responsibilities: * Work with client personnel to analyze, evaluate, and enhance information systems controls, specifically in implementing and supporting: financial management and financial services. * Project leadership and management of client engagement * Assist in the scoping of prospective engagements and developing proposal * Perform business requirements definition including calculation logic * Perform data requirements, systems requirements, and quality assurance Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college/university * Advisory services experience delivering system integration projects to financial services clients including risk assessments and platform reviews * Knowledge of products such as derivatives, fixed income, equities, or mutual funds * Experience with trading or pricing systems * Project management, communication, and leadership skills * Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior executives * Strong client services orientation and the ability to take an active role in executing engagements * Financial services industry experience including system implementation and project management * Able to formulate and express ideas in regard to highly technical concepts clearly and effectively in verbal presentations * Experience working with functions, processes and system controls supporting financial or trading systems * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Able to travel, as necessary KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
