Security Manager, Operations & Systems

Responsibilities Security operations: Responsible for the management of the physical security program, uniform patrol officers, uniform reception officers and communications officers. Ensures proper patrol of the facilities; monitors activity; interacts with persons on campus; and provides deterrence and/or interdiction of criminal activity. Manages the contract security program. Ensures the implementation of the department's patrol plan. Ensures adequate staffing and establishes schedules. Reviews staff performance, provide motivational and formative feedback through the use of performance appraisal, coaching and corrective action. Develops clear, stretch objectives for staff that are aligned with department objectives, and monitors progress to ensure their accomplishment. Encourages a high level of team visibility and rapid response. Provides regular feedback to the Senior Manager on team performance and issues. Security systems: Manages the Security Communications Center. Maintains high level of expertise in all systems hardware and software. Manages the activities and performance of the firm's Security Systems Integrator, Interface Systems, Inc., and their on-site technician. Supports new installations, construction and renovation projects by preparing Requests for Proposals, Design Specifications and Scopes of Work for security and fire systems. Acts as liaison with service receivers such as Arcturis, Sachs Electric, Colliers Turley Martin, Interface Systems, Inc., A-1 Lock and Hardware, Facilities Management, Information Systems, Voice Communications and etc., during design and installation/construction stages. Coordinates installation/construction with vendors and contractors. Manages vendor contracts. Provides client and operator training on systems. ( Ensures operational efficiency by implementation of preventative maintenance programs, regular test and inspection and repair of all systems and devices. Maintains as-built drawings on all systems. Ensures the integrity of system data bases, software upgrades and management of all security software such as card access coordinates procedural issuance of time-codes and access codes. Manages the key control program.Requirements A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in criminal justice, business, or related field and (5) years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Expertise in written and verbal communications is required. Knowledge of Security Management and the Security field is required. The applicant must have significant knowledge acquired through previous experience, certification or specialized training. He or she will be required to provide expertise to others and must be a subject matter expert. Though board knowledge of security systems is not required, knowledge of security systems and their working relationship with network and information systems is preferred.Submit an online resume for prompt consideration for this opportunity.
