Security Engineer

The incumbent will be routinely challenged with projects and support of SMTP, anti-virus, anti-spam, archival and database technologies.Individuals are required to demonstrate strong technical prowess and ability to collaborate with fellow technologists and business staff. Understanding business intent, synthesizing requirements, documenting them, gaining approval and executing plans in a 24X7 global team are critical to the success of this role. Essential Functions Tactical and strategic management of Data Archiver, communications retention and communications hygiene environments for the firmField user requests and diagnose problemsManage supporting systemsEstablish system performance and capacity requirements and meet themManage vendor relationshipsEstablish production validation methodologies to ensure process integrityWork closely with Risk team to establish internal audit requirements and respond to internal audit requestsWork closely with EIM, Exchange and Research Mailer teams to ensure full capture of electronic communicationsWork closely with software development, compliance and legal teams to manage requests and manage on-going retention requirementsWork closely with ISRM Solutions Development team to manage strategic product selections Required/Preferred Qualifications A minimum of five (5) years experience with MS Windows Administration and a solid understanding of information assurance principles.Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL and scriptingKnowledge of communications technology and control mechanisms: MS Exchange, SMTP, Jabber (XCP)Preferred experience with retention and discovery tools.Knowledge of Perl and unix a plus.Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and communicationExcellent verbal and written skillsStrong project management skills Bachelors degree preferred* Apply Salary/Benefits At SIG, our employees are our most valued assets.
