As a Regional Manager of Business Development you will be responsible for growing business by selling Corporate Card and Corporate Purchasing Card solutions to new Middle Market business segments (companies with annual sales revenues between $10M and $250M) in the North Texas area. Your drive to win the desire to be the best is how success is attained. Managers of Business Development effectively filter and qualify prospects and build a pipeline to ensure targets are met. Your effectiveness in the middle market segment is driven by your ability to research, quickly close deals and effectively explain the value of American Express solutions and how they will meet the client's business objectives. QUALIFICATIONS: To be successful in the Regional Manager of Business Development position you must have the proven ability to identify business opportunities and drive profitable new business for American Express Commercial Card. You will need to be able to develop an extensive network of contacts and/or relationships to generate new leads and manage pipelines. Must be able to research and develop an in-depth understanding of your territory, while being able to plan strategically. Regional Managers of Business Development must have at least 3 to 5 years of solid business to business sales experience in a fast-paced environment, a proven track record of success in sales and extensive cold-calling / prospecting experience. Strong consultative selling skills are required to gain in-depth understanding in the industry to provide solutions and build relationships with C-Level executives. This position is a pure business development sales position and requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong follow-up skills and solid relationship management skills.
