LPS Asset Management Solutions is looking for a SQL Server DBA in the Information Technology group in Westminster, Colorado. At LPS Asset Management Solutions, we’re constantly raising the industry bar with our end-to-end asset management and Real Estate Owned (REO) disposition services. Responsibilities:Develop, integrate, test, document solutions and manage day to day operations of all databases and support applications running on the databases. The Database Administrator will ensure backup/recovery, installation & upgrades of RDBMS. Tune SQL performance at both infrastructure and index. The SQL DBA will ensure partitioning, filegroup optimization, data mirroring, log shipping, and cluster expertise. Implementation and ongoing management of SQL Server clustering and merge/transactional database replication. Quickly troubleshoot, determine root cause and correct of complex database issues. Implementation and ongoing monitoring of database maintenance plans. Execute daily database change management requests from customers. Design and implement standards in regards to backup, tuning, recovery, and monitoring for all databases and applications; targeting a uniform approach for similar applications and uses. Ability to automate complex database SQL Server tasks. Strong conceptual understanding of Storage Area Networking, Active Directory and IP Networks/Routing. Reviews, develops, and designs data models using standard diagramming techniques, in conjunction with application development teams; creates logical data models and translates into physical database structures that integrate with existing or proposed database structures Monitors relational databases to optimize database performance, resource use, and physical implementations of databases; addresses a variety of database integration issues including migration between disparate databases, integration, maintenance/conversion, capacity planning issues, and new applications Maintains development, test, and production RDBMS / OLAP environments. Maintains availability and integrity of databases Monitors and manages database backups, logs, and journals; installs, maintains, and upgrades database software; restores and/or recovers data as required Provide customers with ad-hoc reporting as requested Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Documents all unscheduled downtime and creates or modifies practices to avoid future unscheduled downtime.Requirements: Bachelor Degree from 4 year college/university and three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five + years experience in architecting, deploying, scaling and supporting Microsoft SQL Server. 5+ years as a SQL Server DBA in large database, high transaction mission critical production environments Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of company management. Strong knowledge and experience in writing store procedures, triggers, views, user defined function and complex queries for Ad-Hoc reporting purpose. Performance tuning and resource monitoring of various databases. In-depth knowledge of MS SQL 2005 and MS SQL 2000 We offer a Flex Schedule and Business casual environment.
