SENIOR BACK-END SPECIALIST

Position Overview:  This position is responsible for recovering loss revenue by recommending accounts for possible litigation, which may include preparing files to be reviewed by the Small Claims Division.  Under general supervision, the Senior Back-end Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring a work queue of accounts that are 181+ days delinquent to write-off accounts.  This position also requires the Senior Specialist to negotiate settlements and payment plans prior to a lawsuit being filed.  This position requires excellent customer service skills in all stages of collections.

 

 

Job Functions

· Maintains a work queue of late stage delinquent accounts form 181 days and over since the date the account cycled into the department

· Ensures all FDCPA, and CFDCPA 1788-1788.33 are adhered to at all times

· Achieves and maintains TEAM and Individual production STANDARDS and GOALS within the department

· Negotiates settlements and payment arrangements with Supervisor and or Management prior approval

· Prepares equity and asset analysis in order to qualify an account to be referred to the Small Claims Supervisor for possible litigation or charge off

· Refers bankrupt loans to the legal department for further processing and analysis

· Responsible for ensuring a timely follow-up of all accounts assigned in his/her work queue

· Solicits check by phone and Credit Card payments in order to mitigate potential losses

· Heavy Skip tracing is required for debtor location, and asset investigation through Trans Union, Experian, Master Files, IRB, and The Work Number

 

 

Requirements

· Has Strong Analytical and problem solving skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment type 40wpm

· Excellent communication skills

· Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred)

· A general understanding of legal issues and bankruptcy laws and regulations

· 3-10 years experience in collection of charged off and /or late stage delinquent accounts.

· Previous experience as a Senior collector is preferred

· Ability to organize workload for effective collection efforts

· Skip Tracing Skills

 

 

 

 

 

 

Education

· High School Graduate

·  Two to four year college degree preferred, but not required.

 

 

Other Skills/Abilities

· Hands on experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Access preferred.  Knowledge of ERP Systems a plus
