Rotational Associates Program (New York)
The D. E. Shaw group is seeking individuals with an extraordinary record of academic or professional achievement to join its rotational Associates Program.Participants in the Associates Program move through four departments during their first sixteen months of employment in order to get a broad introduction to the firm’s activities.Rotations can be in departments such as Corporate Development, Investor Relations, and Treasury Infrastructure, and typically include at least one trader or analyst rotation with a group such as Distressed Securities, Private Equity, or Special Situations Arbitrage.Although we welcome applicants with a background in mathematics, computer science, or economics, we are keenly interested in speaking with brilliant liberal arts graduates, regardless of major, who are open to the possibility of a career they may never have previously considered.We neither require nor expect any previous financial experience.Ideal candidates are critical thinkers and effective communicators who have demonstrated remarkable talent in their previous endeavors.
