Location: Riverwoods, IL UNITED STATESFunctional Area: AnalyticsMin Pay Rate: $0Max Pay Rate: $0Pay Type: YearResource Type: Full TimeJob Description: Senior Risk Associate Role Summary Identifies, designs, and conducts risk statistical and analyses projects in support of new risk initiatives and portfolio risk framework. Understands relationships between customer behaviors, policy levers and overall portfolio risk performance. Prepares and delivers presentations related to recommendations and strategies to business partners and management. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to play a key role in developing creative risk solutions. The role offers a perfect environment for the candidate to apply analytical and interpersonal skills in a creative manner while also providing extensive opportunities to further develop a broad range of Risk Management capabilities within a large scale credit card issuer.Key deliverables (performance measures)Designs, develops and interprets business and statistical analyses to support management decision-making as it applies to portfolio risk management and evaluation of marketing programsEvaluates new consumer risk related data sources and risk analytical tools, and develops innovative risk management capabilities and processes. Maintains a high level of competency in statistical and analytical principles, tools and techniques.Develops, implements and monitors portfolio performance. Identifies opportunities to modify strategies and processes to improve risk/reward tradeoffsKeeps business partners and functional management apprised of strategy performance and impacts to key business drivers, including delinquency, losses, revenue, receivables, and salesPerforms quality control and validation procedures on all aspects of analysis and reportingWorks with other team members on projects, assuming leadership roles on cross-functional teams when required to meet project objectives. Serves as resource to less experienced associates in solving business problemsActs as a liaison with business partners in intra-departmental projects and presents findings to management and business partners.SKILLSRequired: ExperienceCandidates will be expected to have strong analytical background, extensive statistical modeling knowledge, preferably experiences in developing consumer loan risk modelsUnderstand concepts of credit risk analytics, with a high level of proficiency in data analytics ideally of a credit portfolio with a large customer population. Statistics and SAS proficiency: Statistical analysis and modeling experience preferred, experience in both UNIX and Windows platform SAS desired.Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.Knowledge of log-linear modeling, CHAID analysis, and other categorical models.CompetenciesAbility to deliver results in a deadline driven environment.Excellent communication skills; presentation, written and oral.
