Job Description: Wells Fargo Home Equity Group is a prime home equity lender with multi-channel distribution in all 50 states, and serving more than 1.5 million customer households. Home Equity Group was the first to introduce a product that combines mortgage and a home equity line of credit, a product to help borrowers in a rising interest rate environment, and a comprehensive package of home improvement benefits. Primary business locations are California, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa and Oregon. This position is responsible for performing various complex activities related to the Home Equity loss forecast model development, monthly forecast/submission and loss forecasting analysis. Duties may include short term and long term loss forecast model development, validation and tracking; data and modeling process documentation and review with Model Validation Committee and Corporate Credit; model productionization and version control; monthly business forecast submission and quarterly allowance submission; work with senior managers on scenario analysis, stress test and long term plan; work with business partners on loss region allocation forecast and non performing asset forecast; incorporate balance forecast, loss mitigation forecast and line management forecast into the loss forecast; develop loss forecast related MIS (roll rate, severity, etc.) to support various needs; conduct any loss related ad hoc analysis if requested; develop QA process to make sure the accuracy of the reports and submissions; prepare necessary material to internal and external auditors to meet regulatory requirements. Minimum Qualifications: Quantitative degree (i.e. statistics, economics, finance, mathematics, etc.) or computer degree. 5-7+ years experience in modeling/analytics and 1-3 years loss forecasting model development experience. Strong communication skills. Preferred Skills: Advanced quantitative degree. Hands-on loss forecasting model development. Master one of the analytical tools such as Strategic Analytics. Understand very well the characteristics of secured products as well as unsecured products.
