Position Description:GENERAL: Genworth Financial is currently seeking applicants for a Risk Management Analyst to become part of our Risk Management team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:* Provide the highest level of internal and external customer service* Provide analysis of lender data necessary for considering guideline exceptions* Maintain lender monitoring process, including automated trigger breach push, automation of portfolio reviews and monthly lender performance summaries* Assist in evaluating specific customer programs and proposals* Coordinate project work with other members of risk team and other functions* Provide key statistical analysis to identify risk issues/trends and present conclusions to senior management as required* Ability to perform analysis and draw conclusions / make decisions with limited data* Conduct detailed analysis of portfolio and housing market including product, lender, and market level data* Act as IT Liaison for maintenance of lender/program database, reporting, and problem solving* Develop the lender management tools necessary to ensure appropriate early warning indicators* Build and manipulate large data sets using SAS and/or Excel* Demonstrate superior analytical ability coupled with the desire and ability to execute on deliverables for real-world business applications* Multi-task in a fast paced environment* Willingness to work beyond normal business hours for business-critical projectsBasic Qualifications Required :* Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Mathematics, or Economics with demonstrated computing ability or advanced degree in Computer Science with proven analytical ability.* Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Access)* Ability to work with large, complex data sets* Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse work group* Business acumen with excellent analytical skills and detail orientation* Ability to work with ideas and translate those into analytical models* Ability to prioritize work, handle several tasks simultaneously, and work under tight deadlinesPreferred Candidate Qualifications : * Experience within mortgage banking or financial services industry* Strong SAS programming knowledge (Unix environment).
