Retail Sales Supervisor - Residential Mortgage

Job Description: Wells Fargo Home Mortgage has an opportunity for a highly motivated Retail Sales Manager to help grow and expand the Residential Mortgage Division in the Central Texas area, specifically: Austin, San Antonio, Round Rock and New Braunfels. Along with responsibility for personal mortgage production, the Retail Sales Manager directs the work of other mortgage sales professionals and assists in establishing and monitoring goals, implementing policies and procedures, and managing price protection. This position recruits, selects, orients, and trains mortgage loan officers, recommends and/or makes decisions in personnel-related matters.Bi-lingual applicants are encouraged to apply. Minimum Qualifications: Job Experience:• 2+ years of mortgage origination experience with an emphasis on prime lending and purchase business in a commission-driven environment• Proven sales experience with the ability to meet productions standards of $10 million in the past 12 months in the Central Texas area• Demonstrated leadership characteristics, organizational skills and experience working in an automated origination environment.• Ability to direct the work of mortgage loan officers. (Including; setting and monitoring of goals, implementing policies and procedures, and managing price protection)• Demonstrated ability to hire, motivate, coach, and manage sales staff• Established relationships with local referral partners (e.g., realtors, builders, attorneys, financial advisors or CPAs) in Austin, San Antonio, Round Rock and New Braunfels• Demonstrated ability to develop a business plan and grow market shareSkills/Competencies:• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain programs, loan terms, features, policies and benefits to customers and business partners• Demonstrated PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use database marketing• Demonstrated customer service skills• Demonstrated knowledge of the mortgage industry and loan structuringPhysical Requirements:• Ability to move 15+ pounds• Ability operate moving vehicle or have access to transportation• Ability to stand/sit/walk for 6-8 hours a day• Ability to travel within the local area to make contact with realtors, builders and other referral sourcesEducation:• High School Education or equivalent Preferred Skills: • BA Business degree or related experience • Prior management experience with demonstrated ability to effectively train and develop employees• Recruiting and training expertise• Excellent interpersonal skills applicable to a sales-oriented environment• Niche market experience in any of the following specialties: builder-focused, renovation, jumbo, reverse mortgages or serving bilingual clients• Knowledge of company products, policies and procedures, underwriting requirements, conventional and governmental loan requirements • Advanced knowledge of organizational procedures, operations and compliance rules and regulations• Bilingual and bi-literate Email this job |
