Research Associate in the Technology Sector
Research Associate in the Technology Sector - Strong Salary + Strong Bonus
This is an exciting opportunity to serve as the first line of support for equity analysts covering the technology sector. Boston asset management firm is seeking a Research Associate to build and maintain models, collect data, create spreadsheets, and write research reports. Must become familiar with Baseline, First Call, FactSet and other software resources. Will build relationships with sell side analysts and will utilize many outside resources such as trade magazines, field studies and the internet to gather information on companies in the technology sector. The Research Associate will monitor conference calls and write reports regarding these calls. This position also attends road shows and company management meetings.
Candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or economics. Progress towards CFA is considered a plus. Must have 2-3 years experience with financial analysis and modeling. Need to have done real company valuation and research. Be an investor with market savvy. Candidates need advanced Excel and strong research skills in order to source detailed information. Ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills and the ability to ask questions, feel confident in front of analysts and company management. Must be a self starter who has a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
