Real Estate Operations Manager

General Mission

Reporting to the Director of the Family Office, the REO Manager will be responsible for directing and managing the day-to-day operations of the privately-held real estate holdings of a family office based in Stamford, CT.  This person will manage our in-house property management staff as well as external independent contractors/consultants.

 

Geographic locations:  Primarily US, with some international exposure

 

ResponsibilitiesCentralize oversight of on-site property management, which would include merging renovations and other projects to one central source; vendor management; and serving as the owner’s representative.  Interact regularly with on-site property managers and brokers with any day-to-day queriesAssist in/develop annual budgets, track monthly P&L performance, explanation of variances, and ensure proper use of capital fundsProject initiation, expenditure approval, construction oversight and uniformity (where applicable) across all propertiesIdentify and implement savings initiativesAssure proper life safety functionality at all propertiesAnticipates owner’s needs and concernsSome travel required for annual site visitsParticipate in all lease negotiations, including new leases, rental agreements, renewals, and asset disposition/mitigation
