Project Implementation Manager

This position will be a Project Implementation Manager for projects dealing with new trading engine functionality, as well as projects to enhance CME Globex market operations and surveillance tools. This position must: Lead in planning and tracking project plans for enhancements/releases affecting the GCC and coordinate project plans with CME internal departments to ensure launches are successful. Take a lead role in meeting with various CME internal departments to obtain adequate information regarding impact analysis on all GCC projects.Create precise, thorough business requirements, impact analysis statements, and GCC procedures. Take into account statistical information available when making decisions on future enhancments, and incorporate methods for obtaining metrics in releases going forward. Assess emergency Production situations in CME Globex, provide a detailed summary of the issue and suggest potential solutions to upper management when applicable. Offer suggestions for improving business processes within the group; clearly communicate these ideas to Management. Have significant understanding of the current technology used by the IT department (i.e. web based tools, applications, database capabilities, etc…) with respect to the level of difficulty of requested requirements.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivelant. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, project management skills, and leadership. 4-6 years experience with electronic trading systems and knowledge of futures and options industry a must. Firsthand experience with CME Globex and GCC applications a plus.
