Job Description: Business Banking Support Group (BBSG) provides support to Regional Business Banking servicing customers with annual revenues between $2-$20 million. This is an exciting opportunity to join our San Antonio BBSG team. This position will be responsible for providing underwriting of Business Banking loans throughout our designated geographical regions. Analyzes complex financial and credit information for Commercial business customer loan packages according to business unit standards. Underwrites loans with aggregate credit exposure based upon approved credit authority limits. Compiles, analyzes, and documents loan data and credit risk, borrower and property information, and coordinates activity in support of credit approval process. Investigates credit standards and determines credit worthiness of commercial loans, understands financial statements and reports for specific area of business. May perform research and analysis related to loan projects, such as industry studies and management reports. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business (finance or accounting) or equivalent experience 6 plus years expert experience commercial underwriting and/or lending Excellent interpersonal, written and oral skills Exceptional customer service orientation. Indepth knowledge of technology systems, such as Athena/Blast, AFS, Hogan, Imaging Systems, and Microsoft Office packages. Preferred Skills: Established knowledge of complex commercial loan packages. Ability to use credit scoring tool and/or subjective analysis to determine complex credit decisions Reviews and makes credit decisions that are high in risk and complexity. Ability to exercises independent judgment within broadly defined policies and procedures Ability to professionally communicate with a variety of internal clients, such as business bankers. Indepth demonstrated knowledge of underwriting procedures, credit or financial analysis techniques. Position is Level 4 or 3 based upon experience and qualifications.
