Private Equity Associate (New York)
The D. E. Shaw group seeks an Associate to join its private equity strategy in a multifaceted role.The firm focuses on middle-market private equity investing across many industries and along various investment theses.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience in all operational aspects of the private equity and debt investing industry through frequent special projects.The Associate will work closely with many groups across the firm, principally the front office proprietary investing teams; but he/she will also chair working groups comprised of colleagues from the pricing, treasury, reporting, and software development areas.
The successful candidate will have two to four years of relevant financial experience, preferably in private equity, and will be a motivated, fearless self-starter with an acute eye for detail.He/she must be able to multitask, and must have superior communication, organization, value-creation, and problem-solving skills.
