We are looking for an engaging, energetic, dynamic professional to join our Retirement Plans Group in Hartford Life’s U.S. Wealth Management Group. Our U.S. Wealth Management Group is made up of six units, each focused on providing a solid lineup of products and solutions that help our business and our individual clients achieve their financial goals. Each unit shares a common goal: to be a leader in their respective markets.

The retirement plans team also supports small and mid-size company-sponsored retirement plans by offering employers the option of having full program administration handled by The Hartford.

·  In December 2007, the company announced three strategic acquisitions to accelerate the growth of the retirement plans business. These transactions will provide The Hartford with added scale in core markets, an established presence in new markets and enhanced technology offerings for customers.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?
 
Serves as primary point of contact for client and business partners in effectively managing their plans. Manages and builds case relationships. Regularly and proactively communicates with clients, brokers and field office personnel. Responds to telephone and written communication concerning account and procedural information, problem research and resolution and customer education. Delivers quality customer service to an assigned client base in a consistent, cost-effective manner.We are looking for a Plan Manager! The successful incumbent will manage activities necessary for the ongoing servicing of 401(k) Profit Sharing Plans that are using bundled recordkeeping services provided by The Hartford. The incumbent must serve as the liaison for The Hartford to the Plan Sponsor or financial advisor by providing all information necessary to ensure the plan's requests are handled according to Hartford procedures and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Business/Organization Knowledge: Broad working knowledge of retirement plan products, processes, and compliance regulations. Acts as technical subject matter expert within and across teams.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates critical thinking and expresses ideas clearly and concisely. Practices attentive and active listening. Has patience to hear people out. Asks appropriate questions to ensure clear understanding. Conveys confidence and control in difficult situations.

Customer Focus: Takes ownership of service request to ensure customer expectations are met/exceeded. Provides leadership and expertise to ensure quality service standards are maintained.

Interpersonal Skills: Builds strong ties with business partners. Works effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution. Maintains a positive, achievement oriented attitude and influences others to do the same. Actively shares knowledge and information with others. Gives and receives constructive feedback.

Administrative Skills/Self-Management: Well organized, uses time wisely, manages multiple priorities effectively. Able to remain flexible and resilient during stressful situations.

Proven customer service experience.

Broad working knowledge of 401(k) business/processes.

TRAC, AWD and Microsoft Office systems knowledge a plus.

Administration/recordkeeping experience preferred.

Willing to work schedule compatible with service center hours 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m
