PROJECT MANAGER

Overview: PEMCO Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Project Manager with experience successfully executing projects. If you'd like to be a part of an exciting team, this position is for you.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of small to moderate project oriented work efforts

o Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations


o Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately


o Responsible for tracking key milestones and adjusting plans or resources to meet the needs of customers


o Coordinates communication on scope, budget, risk, and resource issues to other areas of the enterprise as needed

• Works with considerable independence and may manage or direct others


• Work has a high potential impact on costs and revenues


Qualifications:

• Four to eight (4-8) years of experience in Information Technology preferred.  Increasing levels of responsibility, with at least two (2) years leading or managing projects. 
• Strong organizational and customer service skills required. Must be able to work and communicate well with team members, customers and stakeholders.

• Insurance and Property and Casualty experience and knowledge preferred.

• B.A. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent work experience required.
• Knowledge of Project Management methods and tools required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar tools required.
• Certifications in Project Management desired.
