PARALEGAL

The Paralegal handles corporate contracts which impact TG’s potential liabilities and exposure to risk.  The Paralegal acts as a backup to TG’s Public Information Coordinator in responding to Public Information Act requests; conducts legal research; and assists, as needed, with corporate governance documents, litigation support, and business registration matters. 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

· Paralegal Certificate from an accredited school and/or four years experience as a Paralegal.

 

Or 

 

· Four years experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary,  

Contracts Administrator or other procurement-related position.   

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

 

· Familiarity with contract law, common contract terms and conditions, standard competitive bidding/acquisitions practices and trends, the ability to  prepare/review contracts and other legal documents, or the ability to quickly learn applicable skills and concepts;

· Ability to research and interpret federal and state statutes and regulations;

· Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite;

· Strong organizational and time management skills as well as excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and proofreading skills; 

· High degree of analytical and critical thinking, self-direction, problem-solving, tact and discretion;

· sound professional judgment, discretion, and  the highest level of confidentiality
