Multi-tasking and cross training in multiple areas within the back office will be required in this role.The role of Operations Specialist is an entry level position in the Broker Dealer. Responsibilities may include account funding through the use of money transfer systems, banking and electronic payments, account maintenance, processing account transfers, securities, dividends, corporate actions and trading to ensure efficient processing for brokerage customers. Flexibility is key in the ever-changing environment of on-line reports, system upgrades and the introduction of new products and technologies. Based on the strengths of the specialist and continued interest in a particular area, a path of career advancement and or industry licensing can be formed.
