Operations Manager

What are the job responsibilities?

• Effectively manage myriad of functions across all markets within the Plan Administration team with a strong customer centric focus.

• Strong attention to one of our larger clients with focus on retention.

• Manage technology conversions, RFP’s and fund replacements across plan management staff

• Effectively manage staff with strong focus on career development, change management, collaboration and teamwork.

• Act as technical lead for plan management team

• Adhere to and comply with procedures and service standards; actively seek and close gaps within existing procedures and workflow.

• Lead or support a number of key projects and product initiatives within the organization – i.e. Six Sigma projects, Process Engineering, product initiated enhancements, asset retention, Pension Protection Act, etc.

• Maintain department budget

• Other duties as assigned.



Who is our ideal candidate?

• 3 - 5 years of proven management experience in industry or related field.

• Exceptional customer centric focus

• Strong product knowledge in all Retirement Services markets with emphasis on Healthcare and Government a plus.

• Strong leadership abilities in creating and maintaining a dynamic, positive team environment

• Proficient in IRS and DOL regulations.

• Plan administration experience

• Ability to make sound independent decisions

• Change agent to help guide organization through a number of environmental changes

• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills

• Familiar with Process improvement concepts – i.e. Six Sigma.

• Significant project experience a must

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

• Series 6 and 26, required, or able to obtain within 3 months of hire.

We are a third party administrator servicing a large Internal Revenue Code Section 457 deferred compensation plan, and operate in a dynamic team oriented environment. Our office in Jackson, MS provides service to customers 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Central Standard Time, Monday - Friday.
