Middleware Systems Integrator
This position is in the Web Applications/Middleware Engineering group. Key responsibilities include architecture and implementation of the J2EE infrastructure for secure, highly available, high performance applications. Develop best practices and policies for monitoring, managing, performance measurement, security, change and configuration management, and capacity planning of these applications. The successful candidate will work closely with application engineers to take fullest advantage of application, web, directory, and security servers, and with server and network operations to build a reliable and secure applications environment. Required skills and experience: 4+ years with J2EE servers in an architectural or development role. In depth knowledge of at least one of the leading J2EE servers such as Sun, WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss / Tomcat Knowledge of LDAP and Identity management solutions Familiarity with Java language and internals such as memory management In depth knowledge of UNIX, Networking, Security technologies as they apply to applications. Unix shell scripting Perl scriping Strong analytic and troubleshooting skills Leadership experience and project management skills Excellent communications skills Team oriented Able to work independently BS/MS Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent Preferred skills and experience: Operations and support experience with demanding customers Management experience of small teams Experience with Sun Java Enterprise System, especially Sun Application Server. Experience with performance testing and monitoring software Experience with and knowledge of other middleware technologies such as messaging (JMS) or Web Services
