WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?
Manages a team of technical trainers located in multiple locations to ensure delivery of consistent and high quality training for new hires and existing employees. Administers the CSO training program for Service Operations in accordance with (training) industry standards and best practices. Occasional travel is required. Coaches and develops staff by providing effective and regular feedback to include review of training plans and observation of training delivery. Communicates Trainer quality and productivity via monthly performance reports and written performance appraisals. Actively coaches/mentors Trainers to assist in their career development. Fosters a continuous learning environment. Promotes and encourages an inclusive and diverse work environment — practices inclusive behaviors. Models professional and ethical behaviors, adhering to The Hartford’s corporate code of conduct. Partners with Training Director, QA and local office leaders to employ effective strategies; ensuring training is consistent, cost effective and of the highest quality.
Administers the day to day training needs for assigned locations to include: Trainer workload balancing and class scheduling for network new hire and refresher courses.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Demonstrated leadership abilities; management and critical thinking skills Proven training or mentoring experience in the Group Insurance industry Ability to quickly learn the Best Practices for the areas they support Superior verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated effective planning and time management skills Proficient in the use of Lotus Notes, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
