Manager, Post Default Services Department
Reporting to senior management, the position is primarily responsible for managing the organizational team that provides customer and support services to a significant portfolio of borrowers. This support includes the effective administration of programs specific to the guaranteed student loan industry. Also included in this position's responsibilities is the management of a small call center, as well as directing the group responsible for written communication to customers. The manager will also be expected to track changes in regulations and applicable laws, and update procedures and policies as necessary.
Job Requirements:
Must have a Bachelors degree or corresponding years of related work experience. Must have five years of supervisory experience, with experience in an operations or customer service environment. Experience in the financial services industry or student financial aid/student lending areas is a plus. Must have strong interpersonal, critical thinking, organization and problem solving skills. Must have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, and deadlines, develop and maintain an environment that stimulates enthusiasm and motivation, develop a culture that focuses on continuous improvement and the ability to incorporate effective hands-on management techniques and increase efficiencies in workflow processes.
