Manager - Portfolio Reconciliation Team

Department Description: The Portfolio Reconciliation team will be responsible for identifying and resolving exposure variances that exist between the derivative portfolios of ML and its counterparts. Through the use of industry reconciliation utilities, the team will conduct detailed transaction level reconciliations on large global portfolios. The team will also be responsible for working with the client, Sales, Trading and Finance on resolving variances identified.  Brief Description: This role will be responsible for developing and managing a team of nine individuals charged with reconciling derivative portfolios. Specific responsibilities will include drafting policies and procedures, implementing standardized reporting, increasing operational efficiency, and vendor management (on the industry utilities leveraged).Job Responsibilities:Develop and manage a team of nine individuals charged with portfolio reconciliation Drafting department policies and procedures Developing robust management reporting and metrics dashboards  Collaborating with seniors members of Trading, Finance and Middle Office on resolving transaction level issues  Providing regular updates to senior management with respect to progress, issues and concerns  Working with external vendors to address utility issues, and required enhancements  Working with Middle Office, Collateral Management and the CVG group on identifying enhancement opportunities to the current derivatives workflow process.
