The major responsibilities of this position include designing and managing primary research related to product and service improvements, consumer needs, and demographics. This manager position will work closely with market research directors to manage research projects in support of key business initiatives. The PWI Market Research group supports multiple business areas including marketing & segment management, product development, and the customer distribution channels, including the website, phones and branches. The mission of the group is to provide actionable research that contributes to profitable growth, improved service levels and increased efficiencies.This position will use both primary and secondary research techniques and will be responsible for designing, executing and communicating research results to market research directors, business partners and key stakeholders.  Primary Responsibilities  Work with market research directors and business partners to identify research needs and opportunities and help clarify research objectives. Provide project support, which includes pulling lists for recruiting efforts, performing QA on banners, reports and questionnaires, creating/revising PowerPoint presentations, coordinating with internal business partners to generate research for the online communities and submitting documents to legal for approval. Where appropriate, design and execute both quantitative and qualitative research studies. This includes defining the project scope, objectives and deliverables, designing the research instrument, analysis, creating detailed findings and actionable recommendations. Where appropriate, help business partners develop tactics to implement recommendations and present findings to business partners and key stakeholders. Manage vendor relationships to ensure projects are delivered with highest quality, on time and on budget. Assess market trends through secondary research, external consultants or associations, and communicate findings through reports and presentations to management. Must be able to work collaboratively with business partners at all levels. Education and Experience: 2 to 4 years of related market research experience with a college degree (MBA preferred).Skills and Knowledge: Experience in managing all aspects of research projects, both quantitative and qualitative; working with online research communities a plus. Excellent analytical skills, as demonstrated by a track record of thought leadership and problem solving activities. Acts as project coordinator, maintains focus on strategy, keeps key stakeholders informed and interacts with other Fidelity companies. Excellent oral communications, writing and presentation skills, has a deep interest in developing insights and recommendations for business partners.  Ability to act confidently and influence others throughout the organization.  Experience in strategy, marketing, distribution and/or product management for a financial services business preferred. Excellent organizational and process management skills.  An individual who can foster collaboration, engage and inspire people.  Strong statistical software aptitude is a plus.
