Management Metrics Analyst 1

Job Description: Wells Fargo Funds Management Group is looking for an Analyst for our Sales Reporting and Analysis team. This high visibility position will support and provide reporting and analysis for our Sales teams and several areas of Management (Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance as well as Senior Management).Responsible for performing assigned database-related reporting and analyses as well as projects, adhoc and research requests to solve a variety of business issues for business channel and functional areas. Works with users to define business requirements and analytical needs; identifies and recommends potential data sources; compiles/mines data from a variety of sources; performs analysis of findings and trends using statistical analysis, modeling, process documentation, profitability analysis, etc.; summarizes and presents findings to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency, quality, compliance, etc. Responds to requests for specific, customized reports. Ensures adherence to data management regulations and policies. May partner with technology group. Minimum Qualifications: BS/BA in finance, statistics, mathematics, computer science, MIS or similar focus or equivalent and minimum of 2 years relevant/transferable experience. Knowledge and basic experience with spreadsheet and database applications (e.g. Excel, Access, Business Objects, Cognos Cubes/Impromptu, etc) are preferred. Knowledge and experience with 4th generation query languages and applications, e.g. SAS, SQL, SPSS, ORACLE, Teradata are a plus. Ability to understand business strategy. Excellent communication and organization skills.
