Major Gifts Officer
Sarah Lawrence College, a private, highly selective liberal arts college located just 15 minutes from Manhattan in southern Westchester County, NY, seeks a development officer to join our major gifts team. The Major Gifts Officer’s primary responsibilities include cultivating and soliciting existing major donors, identifying and qualifying prospective donors, and serving as prospect manager for a significant portfolio.
Requirements include a BA degree, three to five years’ as a major gifts officer (or similar experience in raising annual fund gifts of $25,000 or more), a successful track record in closing major gifts and the ability to travel. Experience in planned giving is helpful. Candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and exceptional communication abilities.
