Mail Machine Technician

This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment in use on the mail production floor of CCS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain mail processing equipment to meet daily production volumes.

• Perform routine maintenance on all equipment.

• Minimize downtime of machinery by effectively monitoring and maintaining inventory of replacement parts.

• Effectively communicate to appropriate personnel any mechanical issues that may affect production.

• Remain knowledgeable of current technologies, processing workflows, and machine operations.

• Operate inserting equipment when needed.

• Assist with the training of department personnel.

• As equipment breakdown cannot be scheduled, it is essential that the incumbent maintain flexibility with respect to scheduling to ensure, whenever possible, an expedient resolution to system breakdown.

• All other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
