THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team.  Qualified candidates will possess knowledge of the financial services industry and experience as a legal assistant.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·Provide overall operations and administrative support to the Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer

·Transcribe dictated tapes and maintain case files

·Compose letters, memorandums and other necessary correspondence

·Assist with regulatory firm reviews and/or exams

·Generate and maintain all responses referencing the regulatory reviews and/or exams

·Proofread documents to ensure accuracy and proper use of grammar

·Coordinate appointments and schedule meetings, including venue and catered events

·Prioritize, sort and disseminate all mail, faxes and other related correspondence

·Handle confidential information in a professional and discrete manner

·Prepare and circulate agendas and presentations as needed

·Provide internal back up within administrative team

·Clerical duties such as filing, faxing, copying and mailing

· Assist with ad hoc projects as needed

 

Requirements:College degree and/or equivalent work experienceMinimum 5 years of legal and administrative support experienceAbility to multi-task within a fast paced corporate environmentAdvanced technical knowledge (Microsoft Office products)Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skillsThorough and strong attention to detail, good follow through, flexible and a team playerSelf-starter, ability to work with autonomy in team environment
