Learning and Development Associate (New York)
The D. E. Shaw group seeks a talented Associate to join its new Learning and Development group. The successful candidate will lead project teams in the design, development, and delivery of learning and development programs and initiatives, with a focus on new manager development, professional skills, and customized finance education programs. Project responsibilities will range from needs assessments to post-delivery evaluations and refinements, primarily in collaboration with external vendors and partners. The successful candidate will be in a unique position to contribute to the organization’s vital human capital strategy and will enjoy numerous opportunities for professional development in a collegial, informal work environment characterized by a steadfast commitment to excellence.
The ideal candidate will have an impressive record of academic and professional achievement, with at least 3 years of relevant learning and development experience, professional knowledge of adult learning principles, and a demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects. Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
