Investor Relations Business Affairs Specialist (New York)

The D. E. Shaw group seeks a Senior Associate to join the firm’s Investor Relations department.The associate will assist business and product development activities conducted by the Business Affairs team.Responsibilities will include helping to launch new investment funds; researching and resolving issues related to the marketing of the firm’s existing investment products; creating and maintaining custom investor documentation; and interfacing with senior members of the firm’s legal, compliance, and tax groups.

The position requires superior writing, organizational, and analytical abilities; proven project management skills; heightened attention to detail; and the desire to excel in a dynamic work environment.No previous investor relations experience is required; some background in finance or law is a strong plus.Candidates should have a first-rate academic background and at least 5 years of work experience, or an advanced degree and at least 3 years of work experience.Applicants should submit a resume and cover letter to Monster-BusAffairsSpec@career.deshaw.com .
