Investor Accountant

As we continue to grow, we are looking for energetic individuals to join our team at our fast-paced Fort Worth, TX location in our Investor Accounting group.   The Investor Accounting Specialist I is responsible for reporting and remitting on time and in accordance with the servicing agreements/guides for all actual/actual portfolios. The Investor Accounting Specialist I will reconcile and clear specific general ledger accounts and monitor the movement of loans from an actual/actual portfolio into a securitization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Reporting to actual/actual investors on a bi-monthly and monthly basis. • Reporting daily payoffs. • Prepare wires with appropriate backup for approval and submission. • Verifying funds are available for investor principal and interest remittances. • Investor reporting research. • Effectively communicating with investors/internal departments in regards to any and all issues involving investor accounting. • Preparing monthly investor files, ensuring all files are completely documented and sent timely. • Assist in bank account reconciling items research. • Complete any other duties that would be required to ensure accurately and timely reporting to investors. • Read and understand pooling & servicing agreements • Get up new securitization for securitization team to begin working portfolio. • Provide “Roll Report” to warehouse investors with securitization balances. • Work with securitization team on reconciling loan balance sold to actual balances. • General Ledger Reconciliation at Loan level for following Accounts: -- 260190-Prepayment Penalty -- 260180-Dividend Payable Account -- 174030-Second Lien Receivable • Daily maintenance of the P&I Advance automated “Ledger”. • Research discrepancies in the Delinquency roll forward report. • Prepare Investor Accounting “P&I and TICA Advance Funding File". • Research discrepancies in delinquencies compared to required remittances (“Other Advances”). • Transmit “P&I & TICA Advance Funding File”. • Maintain calendar of cutoff and remitting dates and file submission requirements. • Work with Saxon Treasury department on issues as they relate to P&I advance/recovery. • Produce daily/monthly management and exception reports. • Verify policies and procedures are set up, followed, and maintained on existing and new bank lines of credit. • Service release reporting & remitting.   ADDITIONAL DUTIES: • Filing. • Coping. • Faxing. • Preparing labels. • All other miscellaneous functions within the department . • Additional responsibilities as required by management. Education: • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Work Experience: • Mortgage background. • Accounting experience.   Computer Software Skills: Outlook Word Excel Access   Other Computer Skills: • Ability to work in a Windows environment a must. • Access a plus.   Other Skills: • Strong mathematical skills. • Ability to analyze data. • Must be detail-oriented. • Good communication skills.   Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None.
