Status Full Time, EmployeeLocation Salt Lake City, UT 84101City Position is Located Salt Lake City Job Category Education/TrainingEducation Bachelor's DegreeReference Code PCK505-212264 Position Category: OperationsPosition Title: Instructional Designer/Technical WriterJob Level: ManagerLocation: USA - UT - Salt Lake CityEducation Required: Bachelors DegreePosition Description:•Designs and develops effective training and communication strategies and solutions to promote learning and on-the-job performance support for Morgan Stanley Customer Interaction Center (CIC) representatives, focusing on developing curriculum and CIC online manuals. •Assists in the development of design documents to provide an overview of planned training programs. •Maintains online manuals by proactively “data-mining� the Process Administrator to determine knowledge gaps as well as updates manuals to include any missing information.•Scopes the complexity of core training programs and/or initiatives, determining needed resources, and estimating time frames for completion of programs. •Develops materials (such as overheads, prepared flipcharts, and posters) to supplement training materials and to enhance classroom learning. •Composes paper-based training materials for facilitators, classroom training participants, team meeting participants, and self-study programs.•Collaborates effectively with other team members and external contractors to assist with the developmental of training curriculum. •Trains facilitators to effectively deliver training curriculum to class participants. •Develops coaching materials for managers and mentors. •Develops and conducts needs assessments, pre-assessment exams, and task analyses, when needed, prior to creating curriculum. •Assists in the development of evaluation strategies and materials and interprets the evaluation results to effectively assess/revise training programs.•Assists in the design and development of materials to support the quality team and to ensure that representatives can effectively perform the objectives listed in specific training curriculums. •Utilizes FrontPage, HTML, XML, Java Script, Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft FrontPage, Adobe Acrobat Writer Professional, Flash, Photoshop, Captivate, and/or other web-based development programs or languages to post news and messages to the Intranet. •Collaborates with business partners and initiative sponsors to compose and disseminate news and training updates to representatives.Skills Required:•Proven knowledge of the Instructional Design Process •Experience creating presentations, leading discussions, and teaching skills to small and large groups •Excellent written and oral communication skills •A self-starter, with the ability to work independently and within teams •Some travel required -HTML editor (Dreamweaver or FrontPage)Skills Desired:•Two years experience within the brokerage or other financial services industry - Macromedia Captivate - Macromedia Breeze.
