Role Description: The ETS Service Desk (ETS SD) e-Trading Analyst will be responsible for support of all existing Electronic Trading Infrastructures across all Business Groups and for on-boarding new connectivity from the ETS Design and Implementation Team (ETS DIT).
ETS Network Engineer
Responsibilities: This role will interface to IB IT groups and Core IES teams, to provide a Complete Service Offering around the business groups’ Electronic Trading infrastructure providing part of the follow-the-sun RTB support covering all market hours.
Background
The OBI IT business unit falls within the Global CIO Investment Banking Technology area of Deutsche Bank. The program comprises ~ 1100 resources across multiple regions – UK, Europe, USA and the Americas, and Asia-Pacific.
Overall Purpose of the Role:
The Global ETS Service Desk (ETS SD), is responsible for providing a Complete Service Offering around Electronic Trading infrastructures, which will include Exchanges, Alternative Trading Networks, Inter-Dealer Brokers, Client Connectivity, Customer Platforms and Auction Platforms for Europe, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region.
Specific Scope
Provide a Complete Service Offering around all Electronic Connectivity Platforms under ETS responsibility (approximately 140 at the moment). This Service Offering will comprise of:
- 1st and 2nd level support of all Production, DR and UAT environments
- Full monitoring suite: ETS Insight
- Full Outage Management & Reporting function
- Capacity measurement and management
- Client, partner & vendor management
- All tasks, issues, outages & projects tracked and maintained in JIRA
- Full Knowledge Management Offering using BrainEKP
- Maintenance of the Contacts and Supported Hardware databases
- Participation in weekend and out-of-hours work to support the environment
Liaise with Core IES teams (Unix, Wintel, Networks & Firewalls) to perform any troubleshooting or issue resolution and ensure all the banks IES adhered to.To manage the relationship with the Exchanges/Markets and E-Trading vendors for all Outage or Issue Management and all necessary hardware or software upgrades as specified by the Markets and/or IT providers.
To ensure that all the Bank’s security requirements continue to be met in the environments.
Responsible for all back-end components including but not limited to routers, gateways, lines, connections and Exchange/Electronic Trading Vendor-supplied equipment (Black Box) where required.
Responsible for Wintel software packaging and global roll-outs
To provide change request capability through the banks change management process
To build ad hoc tools for the team or users
To streamline processes and procedures to consistently deliver on tight deadlines
Experience/Background:
Broad technical background with at least 5 years experience in the following competencies: Unix/Linux, Networks and Firewalls and at least 3 years in Wintel including large-scale software distribution.
Experience in Financial Markets either supporting front office business or trading systems using Exchanges, Alternative Trading Networks, Inter-Dealer Brokers, Client Connectivity, Customer Platforms or Auction Platforms would be a definite advantage.
