What are the job responsibilities?

Supervises, train, motivates, and evaluates testing resources in support of the annual testing plan for assigned business units or areas in coordination with external auditors. This includes testing of management controls, IT application and general controls, systems and policies and procedures to establish the adequacy of the control environment.

Leverages knowledge in the business, systems, financial and legal issues of the business unit in order to provide high quality recommendations on the control environment and respond to the consulting needs of the business.

Participates in the risk based testing strategy for the business units and provides guidance on the risk profiles of business processes and controls. May provide guidance and consulting on business self-assessment on the effectiveness of the controls where applicable.

Supports the controls rationalization efforts of the business units and provides recommendations to management on control optimization opportunities.

Participates in the evaluation of identified control deficiencies at the business unit level and their categorization with business unit management and provides guidance on the alternative controls that could be implemented to mitigate the risks.

Maintains client relationships and appraises the adequacy of actions taken by business unit management to correct or remediate reported deficient conditions and validates sustainability.



Who is our ideal candidate?

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required;

Professional Designation/Advanced degrees preferred: (e.g. CPA, CIA, CISA, MBA)

5+ years experience in IT or IT audit functions. Knowledge of the financial services industry (Life Insurance, Annuities, and Investments) is a plus.

Proven leadership skills including demonstrated people management experience;

Planning and organizational skills including Project Management;

Client oriented, ability to work with different areas (Corporate Audit, Operational/Information Risk Management, IT, ING Group)

Change management skills including the ability to work in a dynamic environment

Understand ING’s confidentiality policies and guard confidential or sensitive information.
