Position Description:This IT Solutions Leader role will oversee the mission-critical technology used to administer the Variable Annuity Products at Genworth and will develop and enhance the technology needed to support Product Development and Operations in this area. This role will lead a support team as well as several project teams involved in the implementation of new products, the servicing of existing products, the expansion of connectivity to the Variable Annuity System from external and internal customers, producers and support personnel. Responsibilities:- Partner with other IT leaders to develop and execute on a sound IT Roadmap for Admin Platforms- Manage substantial budgets for New Product Development, Run the Shop and Interface Projects - Partner with multiple business areas to prioritize projects and enhancement requests- Develop strong client relationships across the business to ensure a strong linkage between IT and Business priorities- Lead implementation of IT plans for area of responsibility and coordinate work items - Manage resource allocation, and planning to ensure delivery of business benefits- Lead major initiatives and team projects in the Annuities area of Genworth- Responsible for people management activities including recruiting, career development, Performance management, compensation planning, distribution of work assignments and Inter/intra team issue resolution- Build relationships with software vendors to manage on-going support of purchased software - Coordinate response teams to resolve any unplanned system outages - Build strong relationships with resource firms in order to acquire the best talent to source projects- Keep abreast of emerging technology in the workplace and evaluate potential applications at Genworth- Attend and present at industry conferences as necessaryBasic:- 10+ years experience designing and implementing multiple, simultaneous Information Technology projects- 3+ years of leadership in the management of a business-critical software system - 4+ years experience managing a team of at least 5 people - 4+ years of Information Technology experience in the financial services industry- Strong business acumen & successful track record in aligning with customers (external and Internal).- Strong leadership with a proven track record managing high performance teams- Strategic perspective with demonstrated accountability and execution fulfillment- Successful track record building strong relationships with key business partners- Strong verbal and communication skills- Strong knowledge of key project deliverables such as scope documents, project plans, test plans and technical design documentsPreferred:- 2+ years of experience supporting the Transcend Insurance Admin System- 2+ years in Information Technology support Variable Annuity Products- 2+ years leading migration to modern information technology platforms Additional Information Reference Code:Â Â Â 80723Status:Â Â Â Full Time, EmployeeJob Category:Â Â Â IT/Software Development Send this Job to a FriendSee all Company opportunities
