Human Resources Specialist

Are you a highly motivated, results-oriented team player looking for an opportunity to use your HR skills in an exciting not-for-profit organization?  Mid-town pension and insurance group seeks a seasoned, results oriented professional for its Human Resources Group. Responsibilities will include recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, HRIS and HR administration. 

 

For consideration, you should possess the following:

 

Five or more years experience in a generalist role. Experience in financial services, insurance, publishing, or other related industry desired.


BA/BS in related discipline required.  Professional HR accreditation is a plus

 

Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws required

 

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. 

 

Previous experience with HRIS required.  Experience with Oracle HRIS a plus

 

Experience with benefits administration, recruiting, and performance appraisals required.

 

Excellent communication skills are required -- both verbal and written

 

Demonstrated employee relations expertise.
