Hedge Fund Middle Office and Operations Role:Assisting with trade entry into funds Portfolio accounting system. Transmission of executed trades to respective Prime Brokers. Confirmation of trades (where applicable) with Executing Brokers. Reconciliation of trades, investment positions and cash balances to external third parties (banks, prime brokers and counter parties). Corresponding with Fund Managers, Prime Brokers and counterparties to resolve trade related differences (pricing, position or settlement issues). Entry of accounting journals into general ledger system. Management of the funds balance sheet and profit and loss. Assist in the valuation of client portfolios. Involved in the preparation of NAV allocations.Candidates will be working in a fast paced environment and so need to react positively to change and have a can-do attitude.
Qualifications:Good PC skills (particularly excel)Basic accounting is advantageous. An educational background in finance and prior exposure to financial markets are helpful. Shows initiative and an attention to detail when completing tasks. Good communication skills.
