What are the job responsibilities?
Essential Duties:
-Attend executive leadership staff meetings, strategic planning sessions, budget meetings, etc. on an as-needed basis
-Support and provide input to the annual organization review for the business unit functions; provide organizational design, workforce planning and related support
-Prepare job descriptions
-Coordinate recruiting strategies for openings
-Provide site leadership support to include CMO responsibilities
-Anticipate employee relations and communications issues; develop strategies and tactics for maintaining a positive work environment and motivated workforce
-Provide coaching and facilitation services as needed
-Manage the individual performance management cycle and associated tools; provide manager and employee support
-Coordinate salary planning administration and other compensation programs
-Coordinate benefits open enrollment and other benefit/employee health services program rollouts with the Benefits Manager
-Participate in the development of human resources policies, practices and procedures for the business unit
-Assist in the development of human resources communications to ensure that all locations, managers and employees having appropriate and reasonable access to information, as needed, in a timely manner
-Other duties as assigned
Who is our ideal candidate?
Position Summary:
Reporting to the VP of Human Resources for business unit supporting one broker dealer, Trust and staff functions. Will partner with client executives, departments heads and human resource team members in the development, implementation and maintenance of best practices human resources programs, processes and activities related to employment, organizational planning, talent management, job design, training and development, and communications. Partner with shared services in the management of ER issues, benefits, compensation, staffing, safety, administrative matters and interpretation of work practices and procedures, and assure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Lead various HR projects on an as-needed basis. Position will support St. Cloud, Minneapolis and Atlanta locations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations, business administration or related field
Experience:
5-7 years experience in progressively more challenging human resources roles; successful project management experience
Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge of HR practices and processes, and state and federal employment laws; broad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, training and development, change management and HRIS.

-Ability to work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and proficient with People Soft
-Can organize and manage integrated projects well
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
-Fulltime; job typically performed in the standard office environment; may require occasional out-of-town travel; some travel between facilities will be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
-Ability to travel on overnight trips by car or plane 0-5% of the time, most travel will be within the United States
-Regular daily travel to other site location(s)
-Ability to carry a standard suitcase and lap top computer
