Funds Transfer Supervisor

One of our financial clients is seeking a Funds Transfer Supervisor to join their team based in Jersey City, New Jersey. This individual will be responsible for the effective direction and supervision of the Payment Processing, Foreign Currency group. S/he assists the staff with day to day processing activities in order to provide the team with constructive feedback and ensure standards of quality and controls are met.

1. Risk Management - Assist management in ensuring proper product delivery, proper escalation and resolution of high exposure items, maintaining the proper balance of cost, control and client service (3Cs), and maintaining proper standards and controls. Review E&O situations and look for corrective action. Communicate professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues in order to minimize risk and exposure

2. People Management - Assist staff with day to day processing activities. Understand competencies required for successful job performance and use knowledge to coach and develop team members as well as to identify training needs. Energize and inspire team - generating excitement, a sense of pride, and a drive to excel. Consistently provide employees with constructive and timely feedback, both positive and negative. Ensure team is properly aligned with the Business Plan for the unit. Ensure employees have the information and tools necessary to progress. Assign responsibility effectively based on expertise and strengths of team members.

3. Process Improvement - Help to enhance the productivity of the unit Challenge all processes, procedures and practices

4. Quality Assurance/Control - Ensure daily output standards, both quality and timeliness, are met. Ensure adherence to all established policies, procedures and controls. Assist management in the implementation of policies, procedures and controls. Monitor volume, workflows and overtime of team. Identify and resolve workflow issues.

5. Other - Assist in the development and production of management reporting. Provide feedback on resource requirements and allocation. Contribute to Division or Firm process improvement activities

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience. 2 to 3 years of industry experience. 1 year supervisory experience a plus. Funds Transfer experience Knowledge and skills (general and technical) Interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate professionally with others. An aptitude for analytical and problem resolution. Self Starter, proactive, and objective oriented. Enthusiastic leadership skills and ability to engage others.
