John Hancock can be found on the internet at www.johnhancock.com Manulife Financial Corporation trades as 'MFC' on the TSX, NYSE and PSE, and under '0945' on the SEHKACCOUNTABLE FOR THE DAILY, WEEKLY, AND MONTHLY COMPLIANCE AND ACCOUNT RECONCILIATIONS OF A VARIETY OF FUNDS OF MEDIUM TO HIGH COMPLEXITY.   ·  Maintain communication with custodian bank and external investment subadvisers to verify pricing of funds and corporate actions are processed correctly.  Verify that sub-advisers are completing monthly reconciliations of market values, cash balances, and share positions to custody and any differences fall within tolerances. ·  Review fund trial balances and custody reconciliations for reasonability, participate in the expense reconciliation process to verify that fund accounting is accruing and booking expenses correctly on a monthly basis, and maintaining an accounts payable reconciliation. ·  Prepare financial information for quarterly Trustees meeting in formats requested by the Board of Trustees including fund expenses, income, and share data. ·  Participate in the preparation and distribution of periodic Management report. ·  Prepare audit client prepared schedule lists including disclosures relating to fund securities, turnover, derivative analysis, fund expenses and income, various ratios, and  various roll-forwards. ·  Complete surveys from financial analysis institutions using fund information provided by the custodian and approved by manager.  Compile information, format data as requested and contact institutions when necessary. ·  Perform oversight of daily NAV calculation process. ·  Assist in the preparation of various SEC Forms including Form N-SAR and Rule 24f-2. ·  Update amendments to the prospectus, prospectus supplements and statement of additional information. ·  Perform various operational functions and oversight relating to State registrations. ·  Assist in the calculation of dividend distributions and the communication of Rule 19a-1 notifications for the Dividend Committee. ·  Monitor expense cap and basis point calculations in support of the Expense Oversight Committee. ·  Assist in analysis of derivative positions and various collateral requirements.   ·  Excellent mathematical skills ·  Ability to work in a time sensitive environment ·  Strong attention to detail ·  Strong written and oral communication skills ·  Working knowledge of the mutual fund industry.  Pricing, accounting, reconciliations, corporate actions, etc. ·  Good organizational skills ·  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word and Access   EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE ·  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience ·  1 - 2 years experience as a Fund Accountant       JOHN HANCOK IS AN EQUAL OPPURTUNITY EMPLOYER - AA/F/M/D/V JOB INFORMATION Company: Manulife Financial Location: Boston, MA 02108 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Learn more about the company Click here for video Length: 1:15 min Vibrant Culture     •     Wealth of Opportunity     •     Company with a Conscience
