Allstate was founded in 1931 and became a publicly traded company in 1993. The Financial Services Consultant (FSC) has responsibility for supporting the Territory Distribution Leader (TDL) in the development and implementation of Financial Services (FS) business strategies for the territory.  This includes the FS production plan, Exclusive Agent (EA) and Exclusive Financial Specialist (EFS) development, EFS appointments, EFS retention, and development of tactics to increase market share in FS products.  The FSC has direct involvement in the successful recruiting, appointment, installation, development, and retention of EFSs .  The FSC shares direct responsibility with the TDL for achieving the annual FS production and EFS appointment plans in the assigned geographic area.  Responsible for: Focuses on building and maintaining relationships with distribution leaders, EA's and EFS's to help align individual producer and leader objectives with the organizations FS strategic priorities.  Works with the TDL to translate territorial business strategies into clear objectives, tactics, specific action steps and accountabilities, and prepares producer production estimates.  Also, works with TDL to implement tactics and processes to achieve the territorial FS business plan. Forecasts EFS appointments and other resource needs for the territory, anticipates turnover, and develops contingency plans to meet the territorial EFS appointment plan.  FSC is also responsible with the TDL for territorial EFS appointment plan. Conducts new EFS installations and on-going EFS development activities to ensure a quality development process that includes coordination of all involved support departments. Evaluates EFS skill levels and identifies development and education opportunities for new and existing EFSs.  Supports TDL in evaluation of MDL skill levels and identifies development and education opportunities. The skills required are: Knowledge of industry including competitors and trends (i.e., knows what it takes to be successful in the financial services industry; has thorough knowledge of the industry's history, customers, and competitive environment) Extensive financial services product knowledge Expertise in NASD, SEC, and Broker/Dealer regulatory requirements.  Must be a registered principal supervising agents.Licensing Requirements: Must have a 7, 24, 51 or 53 and 65 license.
