Financial Advising Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Director, Professional Partnerships
DEPARTMENT: Professional Partnerships REPORTS TO: Assistant Vice President, Professional Partnerships
SUMMARY:
This position will play an integral part in helping NFP financial advisors generate revenue from their formalized revenue-sharing professional partnerships with CPAs, Banks and other centers of influence. This position will be responsible for supporting the execution of programs that assist firms develop new partnerships and increase the productivity of existing partnerships. The position will also consult with individual firms to guide them through Professional Partnerships process for building high-value revenue sharing partnerships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
· Proactively build strong relationships with NFP’s financial advisors
· Market Professional Partnerships’ consulting services to NFP acquired and member firms to increase the number of productive Professional Partnerships
· Deliver Professional Partnerships consulting services to NFP acquired and member firms to increase productivity of the existing Professional Partnerships
· Assist NFP acquired and member firms in their professional partners in the formalization, licensing process and foundational planning of setting up their partnerships, including the creation of business/marketing plans.
· Develop and implement leading practices for establishing and growing Professional Partnerships
· Assist in the planning, marketing and execution of Professional Partnerships’ business development programs (e.g., Professional Partnership Forums)
· Assist advisors as they present the concept of a revenue-sharing partnerships to CPAs and other centers of influence
· Produce and distribute production reports to ensure consistent reporting on alliances formed
· Participate in recruit visits from produces exploring current alliances and on potential new alliances
· Meet or exceed department annual business plan goals
· Commitment to culture requires a demonstration of professionalism, accountability, customer/client focus, and teamwork
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES:
· Professional communication and presentation skills; Ability to effectively speak in front of groups of advisors
· Self-starter with strong analytical skills
· Ability to build rapport with advisors and key business units in order to gain cooperation from others to promote sales growth
· Demonstrated ability in consultative sales
· Understanding of the independent financial services market is preferred
· Proven ability to drive sales and marketing results through a specified strategy
· Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES: None
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Minimum of 3 years experience in a financial services sales, consulting or marketing role
CERTIFICATES, LLICENSES, REGISTRATION: Series 6 or 7 and life and health license required
