Director of Financial Operations

 

Successful Westchester based distributor seeks a VP level candidate to run its Finance area. The company wishes to attract a candidate to work with and eventually take over from a long-term senior executive, with an excellent career path for the right candidate.

 

Experience required:

• At least ten plus years as a senior finance executive of mid sized ($50-100mm company.

• Excellent knowledge and experience managing IT departments.

• Audit and tax experience with medium to large CPA firms.

• Knowledge in the financial area of financial statement preparation & analysis, inventory control, corporate taxes, treasury functions, insurance, credit/collection and legal issues.

• Experience with Human Resource functions of payroll, benefits, annual employee reviews, company events & employee morale.

• Strong experience with writing financial & operational procedures.

• Experience with structuring compensation packages.

 

In addition you should be:

 

• Proficient in excel, word & Microsoft office suite, AS400 a plus.

• Possess strong hands-on experience with IT department personnel and an excellent understanding of technology opportunities in order to enhance efficiencies and streamline procedures. 

 

Educational Requirements: A 4 year degree in accounting or finance is required and a CPA and/or Masters degree is a major plus.
