Field Technology Specialist
Description:Provide technology support to the field advisor and staff group. Responsibilities include coordination of corporate driven technology implementation, coordination of training activities, and communication of technology-related information. Perform software and hardware installations and upgrades. Troubleshoot routine/repetitive support problems such as LAN connectivity, passwords resets, new equipment setup, re-imaging computers, etc. Directs users to escalate issues to corporate technology group as necessary. May provide training to users on password management, software, and technology usage policies. Using established guidelines, order new hardware/software and maintain inventory records. May make recommendations to the corporate office & technology partners regarding the introduction & support of technology-based tools.This position is located in: San Francisco, CAQualifications:Ameriprise Financial Advisors sales experience or working knowledge of business model, working knowledge of hardware, software and network (LAN) components of Windows 98, Windows 2000 and/or Windows NT.
