John Hancock can be found on the internet at www.johnhancock.com Manulife Financial Corporation trades as 'MFC' on the TSX, NYSE and PSE, and under '0945' on the SEHKThe role of the Field Services Director is to develop and implement programs, policies and procedures to ensure that all field based Sales Support Staff and Field Services Managers are working effectively and efficiently to meet the goals of the business unit Recruitment, training and ongoing management of Field Services Managers Recruitment, training and management of qualified employees supporting the Regional Directors in accordance with staffing levels, competencies and compensation Provide performance management, career development and goal setting for Field Services Managers according to business unit requirements and expectations Coordinate and provide performance management, career development and goal setting for field based sales support staff Maintain all personnel records and do all reporting as required by the business unit and territory legislative practices and guidelines for Field Services Managers and direct reporting field based sales support staff Develop and implement training and development programs for Field Services Managers and field based sales support staff based on direction set by sales management Proactively manage and continuously improve work processes and information for Field Services Managers and field based sales support staff Assist in the formulation and implementation of quarterly and annual business planning for sales support personnel Ensure all staff makes the optimum use of technology in order to improve effectiveness and efficiency Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place for all sales offices Act as a company resource for implementing and monitoring company programs for sales support staff Oversee the management of all field office equipment and furniture and is the primary contact in assessing future requirements Build and sustain relationships with Regional Directors and Home Office associates required to contribute to the sales growth and the overall success of the business unit, including direct territory   Bachelor's Degree 5 or more years of management experience Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting employees Management skills, including managing remote employees Training and development experience Ability to direct, coach and influence others Excellent communication and listening skills Ability to build and maintain trust Conflict resolution skills Good presentation and writing skills Ability to set priorities Team player Excellent decision making skills Life insurance knowledge Travel required 10% - 15% of the time JOHN HANCOCK IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER - AA/F/M/D/V JOB INFORMATION Company: Manulife Financial Location: Boston, MA 02108 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Sales/Retail/Business Development Learn more about the company Click here for video Length: 1:15 min Vibrant Culture     •     Wealth of Opportunity     •     Company with a Conscience
