Executive Assistant Office of the Vice President, University Services
Grant MacEwan University is searching for an Executive Assistant to provide senior level administrative and operational support to the Vice President, University Services.
This position supports divisional and university priorities by providing coordination and administrative expertise to achieve strategic and business objectives. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate confidentiality, diplomacy and tact in a professional and mature manner.
Reporting to the Vice President, University Services, this role integrates administrative support systems and workflow to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the VP office. Your professionalism and ability to organize, create, and maintain effective work flow and communications will position you for success. Your time management skills and flexibility allow you to work accurately and prioritize a demanding workload that includes agenda preparation and minute taking, records management, as well as coordination of meetings, events, and travel.
This position interacts with executive officers and executive administrative staff on a regular basis. This position also communicates and interacts with members of the Board of Governors and Board committees at the direction of the Vice President.
University Services is a large division within the university and is comprised of the following departments: Financial Services, Sustainability Office, CFO & Associate Vice President, University Services, Retail and Campus Services, Business Planning, Administrative Services, Facilities, Human Resources, Procurement and Contract Services, Corporate Services (including Internal Audit Services), and Office of the General Counsel.
The ideal candidate will possess a diploma in office administration combined with three to five years of progressive senior administrative experience, preferably in a post-secondary setting. Equivalent combinations may be considered. Experience with financial and budget matters is required. Expert technical skills arc required including demonstrated knowledge and experience in use of Microsoft Office Suite and other applications. A working knowledge of PeopleSoft is an asset.

Salary Range: $43,875 to $64,350 per annum
