Major Duties and Functions Include: We are currently seeking an Annuity Financial Analyst to support the Variable Funds and Annuity Analysis department. This position primarily supports the informational needs of various groups by performing a wide range of functions relating to system development, data analysis, and reporting on variable funds and annuity products. The incumbent must deliver top notch customer service through the use of interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills. The position also requires the incumbent to learn and apply knowledge related to annuity products. Major Duties and Functions Include: Act as both a user and developer of applications created in Excel and/or Access to prepare timely and accurate fund performance, financial statements, analytical and reporting on both a periodic and an ad hoc basis. Ensure data integrity by validating information obtained from fund/product administration systems using a variety of available resources. Work/communicate with various departments including IT and Legal department for various variable funds/products and data issues. Lead or support cross-functional projects related to generation of product prospectus information or other required disclosures. Review reports for accuracy and completeness; tailor report format and content to the target audience. Perform analysis of data and high level summaries Develop or recommend automated solutions for manual processes. Proactive customer service including developing business relationships and partnerships. What You Need to Succeed: Strong Excel skills including advanced formulas, data filters, pivot tables, macros. Knowledge in at least one programming language (VB/VBA preferred). Strong relational database knowledge including data modeling, SQL, and ACCESS. Ability to understand and accurately apply various mathematical formulas. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Top notch multi-tasking and time management skills. Attention to detail. Team player. Highly motivated and driven. Very strong dedication to customer service Must be a quick learner with strong analytical and organizational skills. Readily adopts work routine to meet new requirements and business needs. Must have good general knowledge of PC systems hardware and software. Preferably, candidate has basic knowledge of mutual funds and/or annuity product/features in today’s market place. Work shouldn’t be something you do just to make ends meet.
