Ernst & Young Global Services Finance - Customer Relationship Lead

Ernst & Young Global Services (EYGS) Finance is working with Core Business Services functions to support the ongoing transformation to a global organization. This involves planning, implementing and maintaining an appropriate process and infrastructure. EYGS is responsible for all the organization's technology products and initiatives, whether developed internally (e.g., the Global Audit Methodology System (GAMx) or licensed from vendors such as Microsoft or Lotus.
To help achieve global integration, and support technology development, the Global Services and Global Services Finance teams will work closely with local Area /Sub-Area and country personnel. They'll help address local planning, reporting and analytical needs throughout the change period.

EYGS Finance has established four functional departments to support the globalization efforts: Accounting & Reporting, Decision Support, Special Projects & Process Excellence and Customer Relationship.
As Customer Relationship Lead, you'll report to the Functional Director, Customer Relationship.

Key responsibilities
Help with regular financial processes such as planning, analytics, reporting, billing, collections and inventory management
Help with ad hoc reporting and analysis, as required by local Area leadership or EYGS Finance
Confirm that local Areas are aligned with financial processes, such as charge code assignment, Sub-Management Unit (SMU) management, Accounts Payable (AP) approvals, and other core finance activities
Complete reports, analyses and projects that meet internal expectations of timelines and quality
Provide local Area Finance and leadership personnel with financial insights and recommendations
Support local Area decision making and system needs from an EYGS Finance perspective
Establish seamless communications and teaming processes with local Finance personnel, so that these are aligned with Ernst & Young's global integration requirements
Actively support and participate in task forces, initiatives and projects
Confirm that Areas adhere to EYGS Finance policies, procedures and timelines
Inform Ernst & Young Global Services Finance leaders of issues, challenges and feedback from Area leadership
Liaise with EYGS Finance functional leads, to confirm that they have adequate communication and integration with each respective Area
Attend and actively participate in local Area meetings and events, working cooperatively with colleagues to build an effective team
Achieve consistent application of EYGS migration principles and activities
Engage with the organization's Performance Management development process, and work towards the attainment of personal and team scorecard objectives

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. For Excel this includes familiarity with advanced functionality of Excel, particularly pivot tables and macros. Knowledge of Ernst & Young financial systems such as GFIS, Business Objects and Essbase
Ability to travel internationally
Knowledge of local country accounting and tax regulations is desirable
English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication

Experience and qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Accounting or equivalent
Substantial number of years of financial experience, serving multiple internal clients
Experience working in a multinational environment
Experience in planning, budgeting and allocation processes would be desirable
